It was time to finally learn Blender, so I took on SpeedChar's (aka Nikolay Naydenov) tutorial at:
https://www.artstation.com/artwork/OvZxye
because I like pain! :-)

This tutorial takes Ilsu Jang's Moth Warrior concept art:
https://www.artstation.com/artwork/nreYE
and helps you make it real, in 3D!

This was a long and fun exploration of the Blender Character workflow (50 Hours of tutorial content!) and I am quite happy with the results. I deviated from SpeedChar's strict following of the concept art and made a my own chunkier design that attempted to normalize the design themes more consistently across the armor pieces.
This was all modeled in Blender to be dropped into Unreal 5 for more fun explorations.
